A Very Common Question Asked is…

My name is Cassandra Taylor and I am the marketing/operations/I-will-get-it-done woman in the office. If you call Obsidian, chances are you will be speaking with me. If you follow us on social media, you may also be interacting with me. When you come in for an appointment, I am the one who will be getting everything set up for you, attending to any special needs you may have and just generally doing everything possible to assure your experience with us is a positive one.

I’d like to answer one of the most common questions I get from our clients. While the idea of a concierge medical practice is not new, it still generates some uncertainty. We get a lot of inquiries because our vision of blending the old school style of medicine: getting to know the patient, comprehensive exams, providing comfort and luxury-with modern technology to optimize male performance is intriguing and appreciated by many.

One of the most common questions I get asked is: Are you just like the Male ED/Sex Clinics around town that sell you a one size fits all option? No-not even close.

The chart below lays out just some of the differences.

low testosterone doctors northern virginia

Dr. Geib and Richman are urologists certified by the American Board of Urology. They have diagnosed and treated thousands of men with sexual health problems ranging from low testosterone to erectile dysfunction to prostate cancer. Not all men will respond optimally to a shot or one type of pill so they naturally have no bias for one treatment over another. Along with providing a comprehensive exam, we require lab work so we can track your results and ensure that your body is reacting favorably.

Obsidian also differs in that we become your advocate. We will happily work with your primary care provider if you are taking other medications that might impact your sexual performance. We can expedite referrals to our partners if there is something else going on that requires an ultrasound, internist or therapist. If you have a question after your consultation, you can feel comforted that you will leave the office with direct access to your physician — not a call service line. Education is a huge part of what you will receive here at Obsidian. And my personal favorite, we do not judge you. It is our goal to make you feel comfortable and safe. So please, if you’d like, feel free to bring your partner(s).

Other clinics, and for that matter much of modern medicine, is fast food. At Obsidian, we are fine dining.

Please call, send in an email or attend one of our seminars if you are local. I hope to chat with you soon.
