ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION; DECREASED LIBIDO
T.S., Investment Banker, 45
T.S. is a 45-year-old investment banker who developed erectile dysfunction (ED) and decreased libido over a period of several months. Initially, he visited his family physician, who told him he was too young and healthy to be suffering from a serious medical condition, advising him to reduce stress at work and have more “romantic time” with his wife of 10 years.
ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION
R.J., Retired Athlete, 52
R.J., 52, is a retired professional athlete who began to experience difficulty maintaining an erection during intercourse. His primary-care physician prescribed Viagra and conducted a PSA blood test for prostate cancer, which came back normal.
REDUCED SEX DRIVE; FATIGUE
C.G., Attorney, 55
C.G. is a 55-year-old attorney who developed fatigue, decreased libido and mild depression. His primary-care physician informed him that he was having a “midlife crisis” and was probably clinically depressed. A prescribed antidepressant, however, offered no benefit.
TESTOSTERONE DEFICIENCY
V.C., Entertainer, 39
V.C. is a 39-year-old entertainer who developed symptoms congruent with testosterone deficiency, including fatigue, lack of motivation, increased body fat and decreased libido.
PREMATURE EJACULATION
R.W., Federal Employee, 30
R.W. is a 30-year-old federal employee who developed severe premature ejaculation, ejaculating within one minute of vaginal penetration. Lacking a primary-care physician, he made an appointment with a urologist, who spent five minutes with him and conducted no tests.
PENILE CURVATURE
A.R., Sports Agent, 48
A.R., 48, is a sports agent who developed penile curvature and erectile dysfunction after accidentally bending his penis during sexual intercourse. The curvature was causing his partner pain, and A.R. would lose his erection quickly each time.
INABILITY TO EJACULATE
V.T., Police Officer, 33
V.T. is a 33-year-old police officer who for six months lost the ability to ejaculate. His erections remained normal, so his family doctor suggested he see a psychologist. V.T. decided to visit Obsidian when the psychologist unearthed no underlying probable cause for his problem.

K.S., Business Owner, 34
K.S. is a 34-year-old business owner whose wife had just given birth to their third child. Content with three kids, K.S. and his wife began considering permanent birth control.
REDUCED FREQUENCY OF SEX DUE TO STRESS
G.B., Executive, 32
G.B., 32, is a CEO who recently got married. He and his new wife enjoyed a very active sex life. Six months into the marriage, however, G.B. began traveling more frequently for work, as well as putting in longer hours. Their sexual activity, his wife noticed, was decreasing.
